Faith, mother of Lisa
Best Care Nursing client
My daughter is 41 years old. She was 20 at the time of her accident.
(Best Care Nursing founder) Dan Greve was with the first nursing
service Lisa had when she came home 17 years ago. When he left, we
kept working with some of the nurses. They knew Lisa, and she knew
them. That’s important.
But during the years we worked with other services, there were issues.
The nurses seemed disgruntled. Sometimes they weren’t paid
for weeks.
The way Dan runs his company is so, so different. When I heard Dan
had started a new company, I said, “Oh! You may be my salvation!”
Best Care takes care of their nurses, so they can focus on taking
care of Lisa. And they are truly committed to Lisa. They come to
work all the time. You don’t have that commitment unless you
have a good boss.
And they care as much about me as they do about Lisa! Best Care
provides good case management and really supports us with the insurance
companies.
There is something about Dan. He finds people who are dedicated...or
maybe they become dedicated because they’re working for him.

Scott
Best Care Nursing client
I’ve been with Best Care about five years. I had another agency
before that, but I wasn’t happy with how they treated the nurses.
Some nurses from other agencies received little or no training.
The Best Care nurses get a lot of training. I’d say probably about
20 hours of training.
They can see the different ways that different nurses do certain
things. Also, I can tell them how I want things done. They don’t
get offended like some nurses do.
I’m a ventilator-dependent quadriplegic. Best Care has come
through and provided very good care for me around all the needs that
I’ve had. If someone were to ask me if I’d recommend
them, I definitely would. I’m very thankful to have them.

Andy
Best Care Nursing client
I’ve been a Best Care client for two years. I heard about
them through my claims adjustor.
Previously I lived in Florida and had 2 services down there, and
several when I lived in Michigan before. There is no comparison!
I don’t mean to sound like I’m just talking them up,
but Best Care is phenomenal. If I have any problems they take care
of them right away. And they don’t try to stifle my independence.
I have about 10 to 12 regular (caregivers). They know me and I know
them. I feel good because there’s always someone good to take
care of me.
What separates them from the bigger services, I think, is that they’re
family-owned and operated. It’s a great family to have taking
care of you.

Sharon, mother of Angie
Best Care Nursing client
To care for my daughter, Angie, I’ve been working with nursing
services for 11 years. I worked with Dan, the owner of Best Care
Nursing, way back when he worked for another agency. Unfortunately
he left there. I became frustrated with his (former) company and
so did the nurses.
When Dan started (Best Care Nursing), I called and asked him to
come talk to me. He understood our situation. It was a perfect fit.
One advantage I’ve gotten from Best Care that I didn’t
get from other agencies is, with other agencies, I didn’t know
what to ask for. I needed to know what an agency could do! I was
doing a lot of the leg work before.
My daughter has 8 to 12 specialists at any given time. Making and
coordinating appointments can be a real challenge. But the Best Care
Nursing people jumped right in and took a lot of pressure off me.
The care managers have a wonderful handle on what my daughter needs.
No one nurse works more than 3 shifts a week. She knows them all.
Angie has a lot of good friends in her nurses.

Diane, RN
Best Care Nursing employee
I worked for hospitals for 20 years. The nurse-to-patient ratio
was getting so bad, I felt I couldn’t give quality care anymore.
I actually quit nursing for a year.
Now I work for Best Care, I can give very good care, and feel good
about what I did at the end of the day. The one-to-one nursing is
the biggest difference.
I’ve been with Best Care for 5 years now. They treat us well.
Our schedules are flexible. We don’t have to work weekends
unless we want to. They’re good at reworking our schedules
if we need them to, with a little notice. Pay is competitive, and
they give great Christmas bonuses!
I am just totally happy.
